Present and Responsible Leadership
Safe Neighborhoods:
- Permanently re-establish the office of Director of Public Safety
- Invest in technology (street lighting and cameras) to better fight crime and protect our officers
- Foster a positive working relationship between communities and IMPD and restart neighborhood CrimeWatch
- Invest in pedestrian safety along major parks and trails, particularly at the Mon Trail crossing at 86th Street
- Provide resources to fight the opioid epidemic and increase access to mental health services
- Find solutions to break the cycle of homelessness in our community
Sustainable Infrastructure:
- Invest in roads, sidewalks, and trails to improve quality of life
- Support Holliday Park regional connectivity to Marott and Broad Ripple Parks
- Ensure reliability in our energy systems and bury power lines where possible
- Expand and incentivize recycling services throughout the city
Smart Economy:
- Support small businesses and entrepreneurs in our local district
- Lower the county income tax rate and lower the property tax rate for seniors
- Position Indianapolis as the innovation hub of the Midwest by leveraging 16 Tech and our top tier higher education institutions in our city
- Encourage thoughtful economic development efforts in a collaborative way, soliciting community input and protecting our neighborhoods
- Promote outdoor recreation and tourism in our parks, and conserve green spaces
- Leverage our city′s public-private partnerships to better attract talent
